In the swing of things!

In the swing of things…

Building operations are speeding ahead. Concrete, bricks and cement are fast showing signs recognisable as buildings

and future rooms as drafted.

We are on schedule and are very excited at this stage.

Looking at this picture updating our progress, you can see the reason for our excitement!

The way the building is currently progressing, we will soon be in the position to announce date of opening the first building, hence, we will be able to indicate when reservations for this will open. We have had quite a number of reservation requests we unfortunately had to turn down due to lack of current availability and we look forward to being in the position to assist with more accommodation requests having various number of room types available to our guests!

Back at the ranch, winter is in full swing with crispy mornings and cooler afternoons. The golf course and estate  gardens are still hanging on to its late summer greenery as we have not yet had any real frost thus far. 18 July marks  Nelson Mandela Day   and there will be quite a number of activities planned throughout

Pretoria and the country. It will be easy to find a good course to support with your 67 minutes of contribution.

8th of August is National Women’s Day commemorating the 1956 Women’s March to Pretoria. Spare a thought to the woman in your life and what they are doing for you every day!

On Saturday Mornings the Hazel Food Market comes highly recommended, as it boasts with food stalls from a number of countries around the world. Warning – Go hungry!

If you don’t have anything planned for the last Sunday of the month, We suggest you go to Acoustics in the Park .

Cannot think of any better way to spend your day in the lazy winter sun with good music. You’re your blanket and picnic basket.

It gives us great pleasure to welcome back a familiar face – Susann Rojas – to once again hold the reigns as Manager of The Lakes Boutique Lodge.

From Management and staff we wish you all a warm at heart winter!
